About Nicole
Hi! So glad you dropped by! Thanks for taking a second to read a little about me. It’s kind of funny and yet amazing at the same time that we can actually form a relationship over the computer! You may live in Washington or California...or somewhere else far away...but this computer I am typing on can make it seem like you’re right next door. My sister (and best friend) actually lives in Africa - and thanks to the telephone, internet, and modern technology, I am able to talk to her all the time. It’s wonderful! :)
Well, I grew up in (and still live in) the New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas...in good ole southern Louisiana. Most of my family has spread out but my husband and I are still happy to call this “home”. We are a part of the greatest church on the planet and can’t really imagine living anywhere else.
I became interested in nutrition early in life...probably around 12 years old. Sadly - my interest was really the beginning of an eating disorder. Media images combined with a broken home led to a downward spiral of depriving myself, crash diets, and the ups and downs associated with emotional and addictive eating. That was then, though...this is now. And I’m all better now. :) As I “got better,” though, my interest in nutrition deepened...this time, in a healthy way. I graduated in dietetics from LSU (geaux tigers) 7 years ago and have hit the ground running ever since! I’ve done private counseling, worked with the elderly, worked in management, and have, more recently, done some writing and public speaking.
Personally, I’ve been married for 8 years and am completely in love with both my husband and our 16-month-old princess. Being a mom is already the greatest adventure. It’s amazing the things she is teaching me about myself. Actually, she’s the reason I first pursued ‘Real Living Nutrition Services’. Since it’s the kind of job that I can do from home - then that translates into more of that precious mommy-daughter time. As I learned more about RLNS and met Meri, though, I just felt instantly connected and like this was such a great fit for me. I love the idea of working one-on-one with you...and I love the concept of coaching and counseling. I don’t know if it’s that I’m a woman or what, but I’m just more of a conversationalist then the diagnostic type. I want to hear what you’re struggling with and work diligently with you to find solutions that work. Real solutions. I am passionate about your success. I mean this when I say it - if you don’t succeed, I don’t either. I will be your biggest cheerleader, your biggest fan. You can do this! I know you can...and I can’t wait to begin the journey with you!
