About Linda

My hope is to help make mealtime a positive part of the day for you, where healthy food choices can be enjoyed without the dread of calorie counting and the focus on countless diet restrictions. Mealtimes have been a positive part of my life since childhood. It has always been the time of the day, despite all of our hectic schedules, when we share food as well as conversation about our day. Mealtime became an important aspect of my career as well when I started my first job in high school working as a waitress and continued on with jobs in the foodservice industry.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from Rochester Institute of Technology and am a registered and licensed dietitian. I am a member of The American Dietetic Association and have earned the ServSafe Certification as well as a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  Not only am I a registered dietitian but I am also a mother of three and I live the daily challenge of running a household, working and taking care of my family’s many needs. Not only is it difficult to find the time and energy to take care of myself but I also struggle with the challenge of a slowing metabolism, as many of us do as we get older. That is why I think the Balance Program is such a great approach.  Life can certainly be a balancing act and I am sure you will find that the approach of Real Living Nutrition will take into account the many aspects of life that affect our weight. I think it is an excellent method to achieve weight loss by setting realistic goals and making healthy lifestyle changes.

Fun Facts About Me

  • I live in southeastern Pennsylvania with my husband and three children.

  • I love to be near the water swimming, boating and especially kayaking.
 
  • I took a quilting course over ten years ago and have enjoyed it as a hobby ever since.
 
  • My favorite foods are summer picnic foods including corn on the cob and peach cobbler.
 
  • My favorite time of the year is the fall, I love the apples, pumpkins and colored leaves of the season.

                                                       

  • I love listening to country music, watching Grey’s Anatomy and reading Nicholas Sparks books.
