About Cheryl
My passion is helping people make permanent eating behavior changes rather than providing them with a temporary fix. I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian who has specialized in nutrition counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy since 1999.
In 2002 I founded a nutrition counseling/coaching private practice where I utilize a holistic approach to customize nutrition and lifestyle programs for the “whole person.”
My professional experience includes providing nutritional care and counseling as a hospital clinical dietitian for both inpatients and outpatients. I have extensive experience helping people with various health concerns, such as diabetes, weight loss, cardiovascular disease, digestive disorders and autoimmune diseases. I also worked with older adults in a long-term care environment. My specialty is nutrition for weight management, improved health, wellness and disease prevention.
In 1996 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Nutrition from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. I had so much fun working toward that degree that I stayed at Brooklyn College to complete my Master of Science in Nutrition in 1998. In addition to these credentials, I have extensive training in Holistic Nutrition.
I believe that good nutrition is the foundation for health and wellness - we really are what we eat! When we choose to consume the right foods, we are gifting our body with the tools it needs to help us achieve and maintain great health.
My mission is to empower individuals to take control of their health by providing information, inspiration, tools and support to help improve their nutrition, overall health and quality of life.
The Balance Program is a wonderful tool. My goal is to help set you up for success!
